PAST EVENTS

75th Anniversary Celebration

The 75th anniversary for troop 2 was celebrated in June 2005.  Many past and present dignitaries in scouting, eagle scouts, and guests attended.  The festivities included guest speakers and presentation of the past events through out the 75 years the troop has been together.

Eagle Courts of Honor

We take pride in our troop members.  We remain active and interesting by camping on a monthly basis, holding meetings involved with activities geared towards merit badge achievement, both elective and eagle required, and participating in a variety of community service projects.

In the past few years, since the 75th Anniversary in 2005, we have celebrated fifteen (15) scouts advancing to the rank of Eagle Scout.  This is remarkable, as the average is only 4 of every 100 initial scouts reach this rank.  It is also interesting to note that the Boy Scouts of America references that 1 in 4 boys become scouts, and that of the leaders of this nation in business, religion and politics, 3 out of 4 were scouts.
